Start with this version

Choose it when: Choose this when you want a first-lesson package with a parent guide and listening and practice tracks.

Before you start: Use the provider’s Lesson 1 keyboard introduction. The exact notes, hand order and rhythm of this edition have not been transcribed and verified here.

Hands: Follow the hand instructions in the exact Lesson 1 materials. Hand order is not verified on PianoGrid.

  1. Open the Materials for Lesson 1 package from Hoffman Academy. The free resource uses a form or provider account.
  2. Use its keyboard-introduction page, then listen to its matching track on the provider’s service.
  3. Follow the first task in that lesson; do not replace its notes with a different Hot Cross Buns arrangement.

Start with this version

Choose it when: Choose the specifically named Early Elementary arrangement when you want its hand-position graphic and linked tutorial.

Before you start: Check the printed hand-position graphic. This version is listed in C major and 4/4; those labels do not prove a particular note range or fingering.

Hands: Use the exact version’s hand-position graphic and tutorial; a verified note-by-note hand assignment is not supplied here.

  1. Choose the Early Elementary version by Aron Bernstein, not the Elementary or duet product.
  2. Open its matching tutorial and compare the starting hand positions with your own copy.
  3. Practise the opening phrase following that version’s instructions before joining sections. PianoGrid has not supplied a verified bar-level transcription of it.

Start with this version

Choose it when: Choose a named simplified classical version with separate provider lessons for melody/rhythm and hands together.

Before you start: The Joseph Hoffman arrangement is in D major and 4/4 and its page tags dotted rhythms. The actual pitch set, chord part and fingering still require this exact score.

Hands: Use the provider’s melody/rhythm lesson first, then its hands-together lesson. The starting hand has not been independently confirmed here.

  1. Open the Joseph Hoffman edition and check the single-user or teacher-studio access offered by the provider.
  2. Use the linked melody-and-rhythm lesson before the hands-together lesson.
  3. Work from the same D-major score throughout. Do not substitute a C-major online arrangement without naming it as a different version.

Finger-number resource

The inspected Amazing Grace Preparatory PDF prints starting finger numbers and a hand-placement diagram. That is verified on this resource itself.

Before playing

Locate the notes on the keyboard, follow the matching clefs and count the written rhythm. Finger numbers guide this edition; they are not a general rule for every song.

Before you print

Confirm the title and version, then choose A4 or US Letter when offered. Check that every staff, note label and return link is visible in the print preview. External copies must be obtained under the provider’s conditions.

Looking for finger numbers?

Only versions with verified finger-number notation belong in that filter. A keyboard-position graphic or a beginner label does not prove that every note has a finger number.
